Ah, the drudge of August with foreboding school…it torments my mind like Han Solo in Episode V!
Debated passionately among animal lovers is the classic cat vs. dog matchup, sometimes farther than the sane audience can handle. On occasion I have been addressed to decide which I prefer, usually with an uneasy feeling about how my answer will enrage or appease those listening.
Here’s my answer: I prefer not to own or care for either; for in both scenarios it means money, work, time, and possibly bitter heartbreak when they die (of course for realizing all the money I wasted on their food.) But this does not mean I dislike them altogether. I consider myself a vicarious petlover. Nearly everyday I visit other homes and residences of both cats and dogs. These animals are already fed, groomed, trained, and readied for the arrival of company. It is in this time I indulge in every aspect of petloving through the existence of their pet. I will use doggy voice: “Sudga cuute wittle doggy!” and turn cats into my evil lap-residing associate, incessantly petting both. This system slakes all my desires and yearns for furried forms of fervent friendship.
There’s no responsibility and absolutely no committment. Think of all that future money I’m saving! Why, in terms of money, pets are almost as bad as an addiction to smoking (and unless the pet has rabies, not as bad for you health.) Someday my little 9 year old girl will curl her lip, pop out her eyes like a cartoon and euphoniously ask “Daddy, can I get a puppy? Pleeeeeeease.” To which I will briskly respond, “Just go over to Sarah’s house, she’s got one.”
Cruel and frugal. I know. But face it, pretty soon buying gas is going to be like landing on hotel-marked Boardwalk (of course we’d be the car, not the moneybag.) So considering we soon will be paying for gas with Ben Franklin and not Thomas Jefferson, I’m sure she’ll understand.
Until next time. Well wishes.

hahahaha, good answer, but i disagree completely, but w/e. but yea, everyone that was still playin that game is pretty sure jim stacked the deck cause he shuffled the deck for shoya cause it was his deal and shoya got pocket kings, and lost to a straight on the river, and jim was just laughin the entire time, and then they took a dollar from the actual money pot and like ran outside, but we got it back
haha i know, ganster.

Haha, great post. They do cost a lot of money. Though smaller pets are a lot cheaper than a smoking addiction. A 10 pound bag of dog food lasts my dog 4-5 months (supplimented by the table). They are a chore at times, But I think Im gonna own a boston Terrier when I can.
And you should give that book a read sometime. It’s good stuff, though a little ackward because it was translated from Russian, and the author no longer cared about literary quality so much as he cared about the message. But it is still an interesting read, especially if you are interested in the idea of pacifism (for that is one of the main thrusts of the book)

it torments my mind like Han Solo in Episode V! i like that one. ALso good point about dogs and cats, its waste of money in one point of view. I like dogs not cats. i like dogs too cuz i dont have to pay for all the stuff.
I hope you sought out the ice cream man and bought some, for the sake of being in the process of writing me a comment and knowing how much your purchase would please me. I dont really know why though, i guess its just the thought of ice cream, or the thought of the random points at which the ice cream man uplifts your day with a cheesy tune that brings happiness to your ears and goodness to your lips.
nick.
lol your entrys make me laugh
lol High School
School for me approaches even sooner…less than 3 weeks left of summer for me…but I’m excited. Maybe because I’m crazy. Or maybe because it’s college and it’s something new and exciting and completely different from High School. Maybe. Good luck with that though
man we got to go to school also for the pciture stuff, i dont even no if im going to get a driving pass, my parents still wont let me get my liscense.
you have a pattern of just about updating every 10 days
hey thanks for your comment awhile back, I do agree with it to a certain extent. I do not know Jessica Schmidt actually, sorry.
Phil I saw you at the Switchfoot concert! My friend and I kept yelling for you but you didn’t seem to hear us. Hope you had fun!
But isn’t unconditional love, though it may be from a walking furball, priceless? I don’t know what I would do without my dog! When I am having a bad day I look foward to coming home and having her greet me at the door. Then when I’m bored instead of watching TV I play with the dog, so not only does the dog love me, she makes me exercise. I agree that pet food costs a lot of money, but I think that you can’t put a price on one of the best relationships you’ll ever have in your life…
oh yes, obviously i’m a dog person (see above), i’m allergic to cats
