  • My dad attempts to solve problems the way most men do: by using their all-superior male-reasoning skills.  For example:  glancing at the bag my father sees he should cook the chicken wings at 400 degrees, but thinks, “Will not the chicken cook faster at 500 degrees?!“

I am not sure Descartes would have agreed with his methods.

  • Well, the outside of the chicken WILL cook faster at 500 degrees. You just have to finish off the inside in the microwave…

  • why, is Decartes female?

  • Thanks Phil!!! you’re such a nice kid. I appreciate it! and I don’t think Descartes would have agreed either, but men’s logic is generally a tad off. For examply a boy who gets lost. A boy would say, I have no idea where I am, so lets go that way. Or he would say, I know how to get there, but lets see if I can get there this way. He would then drive around aimlessly until he finds a street he knew. This could take hours, even days but boys never stop to ask for directions. unless of corse a girl is in the car telling him to. Then maybe he will stop and look at a map or something. Which is exactly why men should not cook. They think there are infinate ways to get to the same conclusion, when in fact, just like with directions, there is one right way. If you know said right way, why bother finding another right way? you may just not cook the chicken!! lol

  • oh yeah thats super long because i am hanging out at my daddy’s office and I am a little bored.

  • in my case, if the man (me) doesn’t cook, the family doesn’t eat. because the woman of the house typically doesn’t “feel like” cooking…

  • It would depend on how hungry Descartes was at the time.

  • You read Descarte’s works?

  • you should try shake n bake!
