  • Hey.

The uproar about gas prices is so trendy.  I think I will go into school and complain about, oh, say .. orange juice prices.  They’re ridiculous.  It’s now up to $3.05 a gallon at Kroger.  Unbelievable.  I was driving by the other day and I knew we were almost out but I didn’t stop.  Gah,  stupid me!

If you are thinking “Well, the accumulation of buying gas is what makes it expensive, duh,” then you are not considering two things: 1)  Accumulation of buying food builds up too.  2) I drink a lot of orange juice.

Coincidentally, I happen to buy unleaded for gas and no pulp for OJ.

The funny thing about gas prices is when a person jubilantly explains, “I heard gas prices are three cents cheaper in Circleville!  That’s only twenty-five miles from here!  Let’s go get it, what a deal!”  Somehow people block out the fact that they also burn gas on the way to gas stations.

    Bye.

  • Do you suppose people would complain about OJ prices if they changed at least 3-4 times a week – and sometimes multiple times a day? And if they went from $1.93 to $2.17 a gallon in less than a week, with no provocation? Or if every grocery store in the state charged the same price for months on end, then suddenly started charging wildly divergent prices with again, no apparently cause behind it?

Or for that matter, perhaps they would start complaining if OJ was needed to get to one’s job, the doctor’s or hospitals, etc.?

But I agree – people complain about the gas prices without looking at other things which are similarly expensive.

Maybe someone needs to invent a car engine that runs on OJ…

  • hahaha phil gas is 1.99!!!!!!!

*it’s below two dollars, it’s below two dollars, it’s below two dollars, and that is really great!!! *(sung to the blues clues song about figuring out blues clues…lol)

just thought i would share my excitement at the gas prices..

and kroger is over priced for groceries; you should buy orange juice else where. I think my mom gets it at wal mart actually. (we go through a lot of orange juice too, or I do.)

  • I drink water. *smug smile* ;)
Lol, I’ve thought the same thing about driving to get cheaper gas.

  • I think I’m one of the only people who doesn’t really seem to care about gas prices… so… I’m not going to leave a traditionally long comment and just say: HI!

  • People complain about gas prices because it’s something to compalin about. Frankly, it’s something that most everyone can agree on, unlike virtually everything else that a person could complain about.

It also may have something to do that most people aren’t as dependent on OJ as they are on gas. Which really is a pity, because we have legs and bicycles and scooters and a whole bunch of really useful things that don’t cost lots of money just to use.

  • in europe gas is like twice the price

ps pleeeaaaaaasseeee come to the game this friday

and most preferably, come visit me during <3

  • kait informed me that gas is 4$ in Conneticut. Or maybe she said Canada. either way I’m glad I don’t live there. Orange Juice would have to be like 6$!!!!
