  • Here is a thought:

It happens quite frequently that there is a large event taking place and not enough parking to accomodate everyone who wants to attend.  After arriving late I will often times find myself driving further and further away from the destination because all the immediate parking spots were taken.  So I wonder.  Suppose I don’t want to park far away and I park somewhere closer that’s illegal.  If I myself placed a small, thin, yellow piece of paper under one of my windshield wipers, would a police officer driving by simply assume it had been taken care of?  Would they check to see if it was an actual parking citation?  Do they do that?  Because if not, one could quite easily fake their own parking citation.  However, just in case they do check, I would write them a little note on the fake citation that said, “Uh, I was sort of hoping you wouldn’t look at this.”

Although the possibility of tow trucks presents a problem …

  • On the record - that’s not a good idea.

Off the record – that sure would be funny. ;)

  • Haha that’s quite funny.

I find that same thing annoying. It defeats the purpose of “event parking” people should know that you need plenty of parking for said event. I don’t want to have to walk a longish distance to get to my destination…that’s why I drove a car. I mean, really.

  • Awesome! What a good idea!

  • Thanks for making me laugh out loud.

That always happens here. But people who arent even going to the destination in front of their parking space will park there simply to get exercise by having to walk the distance to their own destination. Which to me is pointless, why not join a gym? lol. I actually dont mind the walking, unless it’s for a concert in The Woodlands, which the pavillion is right next to the mall. The parking is either the mall parking or you can park in this garage that costs more than the concert ticket. lol. Hence why i rarely go to concerts there because you have to walk at least a mile from your car to get to the pavillion if you parked at the mall. The parking at the mall is crazy anyway, so it’s a lose lose situation. However, if you park in the garage you’re at least close, but may very well end up with dings on either side of your car, i guess the cost is for “convenience”. But i could easily just sit in my car outside the concert and listen for free. Because isnt that what a concert is anyway, listening to music. Well geez…i might as well enjoy it in the comfort of my car instead of having some sweaty man rub up against me. I dont know why i never thought of this before.

    Have a good Thursday! :)
