  • Thanksgiving is wonderful.  Think about it for a moment: which element of it isn’t just oozing with wonderfulness from all sides?  It’s essentially wonderful people gathered in wonderful places to delight in a wondeful meal.  And you get to be thankful for all the wonderful things that you have been blessed with!  It’s just wonderful!  But not only would I claim that it’s wonderful, but it’s really wonderful!

….Now how about being thankful for having copious adjectives to choose from, eh?

Adjectives, I find, are the most underappreciated part of speech.  Which truly doesn’t make any sense, because adjectives are just so wonderful.

    Have a marvelous Thanksgiving everyone!

  • I’m thankful for you and your witty posts, but now that I’m better than some philosofer dude you must answer me “Captain Drew, Best Philosographer in the WORLD!!!11!!!”

  • I love adjectives… and food! ;) HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

  • I enjoyed reading your relationship post. and the comments.

from my perspective and experience, you are right on. those who walk around bracing themselves for The One and daydreaming of the bliss that will come with That One are sorely mistaken. True, there will be bliss when you find that person, and you will find a joy that on some days can make you feel like everything in the world is right (I know this from experience) but other days that person will trample you, or ignore you when you want to be loved, or not know what you need. And having that mentality that “you weren’t made to be alone” (which I think someone said in their comment?) leads you to an expectation once you ARE in that relationship that is impossible for said “one” to fill. we are not made to be alone, true, but that halfness should never, ever be sought to be filled by a human. it is filled by God alone.

I found the last boy who commented interesting. he seems to resolve not to date, and also seems pretty firm as to how his marriage situation will work out. someone should let him know that God rarely works how we anticipate or desire.

  • Thank God for adjective!!!

Hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful!  Have a blessed weekend.

  • Hope your Thanksgiving was full of superlatives!
