The person who discovered popcorn must have been very surprised. They’re little pebbles that explode into food when heated. His friends must have been extremely skeptical. “No guys, I swear. The’re not useless like we thought, they explode into food!”
I like snow better than rain, because snowflakes fall with style. Rain is all parallel and fast, like they’ve got a job to do so there’s no messing around. But many times snowflakes look like they’re having a good time, dancing around, not really in a hurry. The mentality is, hey, you only fall once, might as well enjoy it while you can.
But still, I would never want to be a snowflake. Think about how anticlimactic that would be. You’re falling, you’re falling, you’re falling .. splat. Landed. Trip over. I can imagine thinking, “Well … now what?”
Lots of people start the phrase ‘You can tell a lot about a person by____’ but then end it in different ways. But since people insert almost anything into the end of that phrase, pretty soon you can tell a lot about a person by almost anything, which isn’t very helpful since that’s not true. We should just pick one that we all agree on. How about this: You can tell a lot about a person by their autobiography.
Leap day exists because it takes the earth 365.24 days to go around the sun, so every four years they just tack on another day. But how about this. Why don’t we not have a leap year every four years, but rather we literally have an entire leap year every 1460 years. It would be a whole year that doesn’t even exist. People who are born that year won’t have a real birthday year because they were born during a fake year. It will be a year where everyone on earth can just kinda relax, stop everything, and chat. It will be an entire year ‘off the record.’ But then, once it’s over, business as usual.
Marching onward into spring! Keep up the pace, we’ll get to summer yet, comrades!

we can tell anything about a person by anything. you can tell a lot about a person that watches soap operas. about a person that works with his hands. about a person that doesn’t eat meat.
we have a million endings to the phrase not because it’s not true but because it is so true. everything specific thing we do reveals a little bit about the type of person we are. and that’s cool.
wow.
i like reading what you write!
hello, by the way. i’m tabitha, and i’m really happy to have discovered this swanky little xanga page.
i’ll be back!
Mmm, popcorn…. Lol, sorry. I get distracted easily sometimes.
Leap YEAR, huh? I like it. How do you make something like that happen?
Haha! That’s awesome! I love this post. I just stopped by from a blogring, so hi! =)

popcorn was discovered by the native north americans, just like tobacco, hammocks, and vanilla.
coffee, however, is a south american treat, discovered by the incans and mayans.
i would be a fairy during my fake year
I want a leap year like you suggest! But the chances of actually being around to see it would be abysmally low.
Thanks for some great laughs. I think the leap year post cracked me up the most. Great post!
