Maybe these are the good ole days
If you are barefoot then you have taken your shoes off the exact amount of times that you have put them on. I like that because I like even numbers. But I don’t like that because I don’t like being barefoot. This means I can never tell whether or not I am happy based solely on the condition of my feet. No matter what, further investigation is required.
The statement ’There is someone out there for you’ is false for someone out there everytime the population of the world is an odd number.
For guys, a t-shirt is just a big napkin you can wear.
Going to the bathroom costs money in Africa, so I think it would be better to just go back to wearing diapers instead. And then you would have a really good pickup line around a group of girls since you could slyly ask, “So . . . who wants to change me?” It would probably work really well because girls are always saying, “I can change him!”
I wonder if polygamists believe in love at first sight. “I saw them, and instantly I knew they were the five women I was going to spend the rest of my life with.”My friend was reading a book and said, “I wonder if the main character is going to die.” But that’s a very silly thing to wonder about because everyone dies; the only question is whether they’ll die before the book is over. But if they don’t, that just means the author got tired of writing.
If you die in real life, do you die in your dreams?
Everytime a firetruck goes by with its sirens blaring and the horn being blasted as loudly and frequently as possible, it occurs to me that obnoxious people should grow up to be firetruck drivers.
If Jesus would have come in the present day maybe one of Satan’s temptations would have been for Jesus to go on Jeopardy and get everything right.
Grammar was invented to give people who like to be right one more thing to always be angry about.
What do you guys think? Playing Settlers of Catan is basically the same thing as studying economics, right?

Everyone have a geat weekend!

If you have a great weekend, I’ll have a great weekend. How did finals go, Philip?
I especially appreciate the pun in the first horizon-enhancer of yours: …”based solely on the condition of my feet.” Solely! Hah! I had to read that a couple of times to get the full effect of the pun.
For the sixth one, I have to disagree, because the main character could be immortal but your friend wasn’t aware of that fact just yet when asking you that question.
Thanks for mentioning Settlers of Catan. I had never heard of it before, but now I hope to buy it and play it soon, not only with the knowledge that it is meant for my enjoyment but also that I might learn some economics while at it.

YES!! I was wondering if people would see the pun. It was really just an accident, but it worked out great!
Ah immortality is a good point. Although it makes me think of Tuck Everlasting, which is really too bad. Not a good book. But a good point still.
Good stuff! Settlers of Catan is really fun, my family and I play it all the time. It has tons of expansion packs that you can get for it too, and I think the best is “Cities and Knights.” We typically play with that one and it gets pretty intense.
My finals are split between this week and next – the one so far was not so good. The questions about the Inferno were much more specific than I was anticipating. But I’m optimistic about the possibility of a curve. Next week is economics and logic. Thanks for asking!
not only did i not get the pun the first time, i didn’t even get the explanation of the pun. man i’m slow.
this post is so great! it’s like jack handey only i’ve never heard these before.
this is the first time i’ve ever recommended a post.

Wow, thanks!!
(As for the pun – the sole of your foot? solely. it’s kind of a stretch in how passing-by it was. i think some people are more pun-oriented so they see puns everywhere. if there’s a pun to make, they make it fast – they’re punctual, in that way.)
@StrokeofThought -
yeah, i eventually got it it just took a few passes. i failed to mention that.
@Dominic_Ville -
ah gotcha.
@Dominic_Ville - Well, the sentence was “…I am happy based soley on the condition of my feet” so seeing it as a pun offers two other interpretations, but all really saying the same thing; it’s like the base of his sole determines the condition of his feet which determines his happiness, but also his happinesss is based soley on the condition of his feet, so the happiness is located on the base of his sole. Woo!
@StrokeofThought - I’ve never read Tuck Everlasting. I’ll have to read it over the summer to appreciate it’s ungoodness. Perhaps I could find some goodness in it to report to you =]
I also have an interpretation of your foot confusion. “Jesus said to him, “He who has bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you.” (John 13:10) So perhaps the even numbers symbolize clean feet, so you like having clean feet, but to clean your feet requires you to be barefoot, but you do not like to be barefoot in general, because you do not like to dirty your feet. If my interpretation is right, what a holy subconscious you have! However, if you do not like being barefoot because you feel insecure about the way your feet look, remeber, “Just as it is written, ‘HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!’” (Romans 10:15) You have beautiful feet no matter what Philip, as long as you bring good news of good things.
I plan on getting Settlers of Catan. Should I just get Cities and Knights along with it?
Finals are always a bittersweet experience. Hopefully you can use logic to get through your logic final if the questions end up being too detailed as well. =D
@liferemainsbeautiful -
LOL – well you’ll have to see the movie and find some goodness in that as well I suppose. But on average I don’t find myself to be a pessimist, so I would just play it safe and keep your expectations pretty low.
“If my interpretation is right, what a holy subconscious you have!”
Hahaha. I guess my feet are okay nowadays – but when I was little I had athlete’s foot, and it was not pretty. Let me tell you. But good news! That’s all gone.
Yeah, just get Cities and Knights with it, although start by just learning the basic Settlers of Catan version, and then once you’ve got that add it on. You don’t want to be overwhelme by it and we had fun moving up in increments.
Logic is today, gotta go sleep to get up and study!
@StrokeofThought - Yeah, feet are very sensitive things. They can ruin your day or make your day. Glad to hear your feet are alive and healthy. In fact, according to St Paul, your feet are beautiful because you have brought me good news of good things =]
Xanga says you posts your comment at 2:49AM. And you wake up early how….? Either way, God be with you on your final!

As a nocturnalist, my sleep patterns tend to be rather erratic. I know it would be better to be on a regular schedule, but that would compromise my ability to enjoy the night. So things do get a little crazy at times, yes.
