  • It amuses me to think of the millions worldwide who have waited for a decade to know the conclusion to the Harry Potter saga, and will tonight buy the book and have the answer in their hands, and yet will still have to read through the whole thing to finally get the answer.  It is being so close … and yet so far at the same time.  It’s like having a long day at school, yearning to be home, only to arrive home to find yourself locked out.

  • I wonder….how many skip to the last page??

  • I enjoyed reading through your previous post, particularly this line: “If you haven’t accepted the implications of your beliefs, then you don’t really believe them.” Too few think too little about things too important to ignore.
Re: HP. My wife and daughter are big fans. The latter has three of her collegiate friends coming over for the great book buy this evening. Me … I go to see the movies with them. My serious fantasy/sci-fi days of LOTR, Thomas Covenant, Dune, etc. are largely behind me. But – I enjoy the joy of my daughter, wife and friends, hence I’ll be there at midnight with them and all the other crazy midnight fans.
    With blessings,
    Brett

  • I already know how it ends.

  • well phil i think you secretly thought this through when the first harry potter book came out whenever that was and decided you would wait until just before the last one and then read them all. genius plan really.

and i doubt many skip to the last page. for some reason people don’t seem to want to have the ending ruined. this is something i don’t understand? I would skip to the last chapter if I read the books.
